Last updated 29 October 2026
This notice explains how Trienics Ltd, which provides Jobbington, collects, uses, stores and protects the personal data of tradespeople who sign up for or use the service. How your customers' personal data is handled is explained in the privacy notice for customers, which is linked from your enquiry form.
Who is responsible for your personal data
Trienics Ltd is the data controller for the personal data relating to your account. Jobbington is managed by Trienics Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 10990291. Registered office: Whitecroft, Horton-cum-Studley, Oxford, OX33 1AU. You can contact us at info@jobbington.com.
Personal data we collect
- your name, business name and business details, email address, telephone number, trade, service area and working hours
- your prices, the wording of your messages, and the other settings you choose
- your photograph and logo, if you provide them
- your login details, and the devices on which you have turned on alerts
- if you add team members, their name, email address, login and the devices on which they have turned on alerts, and which changes they make to your leads. If a team member adds a photo, their photo and first name are shown to the customers on the leads given to them, on the form link and in the messages they send
- your calendar link, if you connect one
- your package, your subscription and payment status, and the dates you joined and, if applicable, left
- any messages you send us, for example when you ask for help
- if you ask for a free trial on our website: your name, business name, trade, telephone number, email address, area, the best time to ring and anything you write to us, so that we can ring you to set up your trial. We delete these details after 12 months
When we set up your account, we email you a temporary password, which you must change when you first sign in.
How your personal data is used
Your personal data is used to:
- set up and operate your account and your enquiry form
- send you lead alerts, reminders, reports and other emails about your account
- take payment for your package and manage your subscription
- provide support when you ask for help
- keep the service secure
- keep the business records we are required to keep
We use your personal data to perform our contract with you, to comply with our legal obligations (such as keeping accounting and tax records), and on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.
What is shown publicly
Your business name, photograph and logo are displayed at the top of your enquiry form, which anyone with the link can open.
Your calendar
If you connect a calendar, your calendar link is stored securely. It is used only to show when you are busy in your booking diary; we do not store or change your appointments. Appointment names are shown only if you turn on "Show appointment reasons", and only to you and to support staff assisting you.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe, which holds your card details; we do not have access to them. We receive confirmation of your payments and the status of your subscription.
Service providers
We use carefully selected service providers to host the website, store data, send emails and alerts, and process payments. These providers may use personal data only to provide their services to us, and they also handle your customers' personal data on your behalf, as described in our terms. Where any of them process personal data outside the United Kingdom, it is protected by safeguards approved under UK data protection law.
Your customers' personal data
You are the data controller for your customers' personal data, and we process it on your behalf as your data processor. We handle it only on your instructions, as set out in our terms, and keep it only for the periods set out in the privacy notice for customers. Your customers see that notice through the link on your enquiry form.
How long we keep your personal data
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is open. When you close your account, or a free trial ends without a package being chosen, your enquiry form is switched off immediately. Your customers, leads, photographs, settings and login are deleted 30 days later.
We keep a brief record of your account (your name, business, contact details, trade, package, the dates you were with us and, if you told us, your reason for leaving) for six years for accounting and tax purposes, after which it is deleted.
How we protect your personal data
Your personal data is transmitted securely and stored on protected servers. Our staff access your account only where necessary to provide support or to resolve a technical problem.
We use only essential cookies, which keep you signed in to the app. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights
You have the right to ask:
- for a copy of your personal data
- for your personal data to be corrected
- for your personal data to be deleted, apart from records we are required by law to keep
- for the use of your personal data to be restricted, or to object to its use
- for your personal data to be sent to you, or to another organisation, in a commonly used format
